After a quick search, I found a couple of people had listed my exact same issues but did not come across a fix.

2005 Expedition, was running great until I got home today. Put it in park to open my gate and after putting it back in drive it will not go, just revs. Will go into reverse and run just fine. does not show any codes but does say.. Check Electronic Throttle Control... and the o/d light started flashing on and off. Went ahead and put a new throttle body and still the same issue. The TPS was a lot of people's guesses after looking online, but I'm thinking the new throttle body had a new sensor on it.
Any ideas?

I'm not an expert on the subject, but my 1st thought is the neutral switch on the tranny. If you pull the shifter into 1st, will it go forward?
The next thought is it may be the tranny itself. Have you checked the tranny fluid level?
