My passenger window has been slowly dying; and failed this week in the rain in the half open position. I have managed to get the door trim off, as well as the frame that holds the speaker and window motor. Now I can see rust on the lower front cable at the pulley; however, the pulley seems to spin fine - just cannot pull the cable through either direction. Seems like I need to get the pulley off, but that looks to require removal of the vertical rail with the window slider - so how do I get the slider separated from the window. I am not experienced with this cable system, and the cable terminates at what looks like an impossible location to remove. Also, after removing the motor and cable spindle, the cable is fully unwound - how do I rewind that? start from the outside in?

The closest video I have found is for '03 Ford Exp windows, but they have no cable stuff. Does anyone have a link that may help? Or some words of advice from experience? I sure will appreciate the guidance.

Thanks,
KevinC

i beleve that the motor, track, cable is sold as an assembly, maybe you can buy just the motor if that is the case the cable wont unwind when you take it off.
