2007 Expy MPG

Does anyone have any experience with the new '07 Expys and what kind of MPG they get? I have an 02 Expy with the 4.6 that we will be looking to do something with in a little while and am considering either an Expy or Explorer. I would prefer something with better mileage. Does the Explorer (V6) get significantly better mpg?

An Explo would do the job as far as space, but I like the new Expys!

There is no question that the explorer will get better mileage since it is a lighter vehicle, but you give up the space of the exped. The new trans setup in the expedition should make an improvement in the mileage over the 06 expedition.

I got the wife the Expy EL and according to the computer, I get an average of 14.6 on the hwy and 11 around town.

Thats good info George. I was figuring if the Expy was around 14 around town and 18 on the highway compared to 15 in town and 20 on the highway for the Explo, the Expy might not be too bad with all the extra space.

Keep in mind that automakers were making MPG improvements since the SUV first came out and everyone was complaining.
