2007 factory dvd player

My factory dvd player won't eject the dvd. it plays just fine but when we try to eject it it clicks like crazy then stops and tries like two more time then it stops. someone said it sounds like the gear went out in it.any help would be very much appreciated.thanks

best way is to open/take down the DVD player. Look for a few screws and its held in by metal clips...slowly pry it down.
