2007 owners help please!!!

I’m trying to find out the part # for a cable. I’ve been to 2 different parts department, talks to multiple shop techs. Mine has the tag, but the writing is worn off. The tag is just for the connector that goes to the fuse panel. Thanks!!!

That could be a discontinued part. There's a Z in place of the T and with the T it turns up nothing. But based on the description this sounds like your part. The base number matches and it says 7L1Z-12A581-AA fits the 07 but no image provided that I can find

Your best bet is to go to the dealer, they will be able to get you something from ford or A/M that will fit your application or alter your application altogether and make it work, it’s their job. Now that you have the original part number to supply them you are a step closer.

Also FordParts new website is garbage, you won’t find any parts there. they f*cked up bad all around on the search engine and catalog, used to be a good site. There will be a part somewhere that supersedes it, a quick glance at the catalog and you’ll realize almost all of the electrical cables are the same from (3/18/2002) through (6/30/2017).

I'm assuming he's got corrosion attacking it and Once it's in the cable there really no way to make it stop. Personally I would hit a car audio shop and ask them to build you a new one. I have a hydraulic crimper here so I can build them on my own but a car audio shop will make quick work of it

If you have any issues with an audio shop making the cable let me know. Maybe I could get the stock and build the cable for you. I'm not positive but there may be a fusible link made into that cable considering it comes right off the battery.

Yes, my cable is corroded at the battery.

Yep, I had a 2007 and same thing happened. I just replaced the ends and it worked fine. I like the idea of going to a car audio shop with hydraulic crimpers...great idea!
