2010 Expy XLT w/o 3rd Row Seat--can 3rd Row be installed

Just purchased a 2010 Ford Expedition XLT w/o 3rd row seating. My question is can I add the 3rd row seat on my own? If so where do I get one?

Should be able to. Why is it missing? I'd assume it was removed therefore can be installed. Check salvage yards find a wrecked one.

There was a guy on here that removed his for his dogs. Maybe he'd be interested in selling it not sure of the trim would match

Mine was the XLT version that came with seating for 5. No 3rd row from factory.

Are there any mounting holes where third row seat bolts on? Go to dealer and ask if you dont know.

I am sure that the mounting holes would be there. you would have to put a manual sear set back there. a power one would be very hard and you would need a parts expy to do that. look on craigslist or e-bay or Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market good luck

there was an option to get it without the 3rd seat and in return there was a storage compartment in its place but it was only with the regular Expy not the EL but if you don't have the 3rd row seat your missing the seatbelt and the bracing for the seatbelt plus you will have to buy new back panels to switch out for panels for the seatbelts to be mounted plus you'll have to drill holes in your floors and ad bracing for the seatbelt buckles so its really more work and money to convert it than its really worth but I'm sure if you stripped everything out of the rear of your Expy behind the second row you could install all the pieces for the 3rd row but one thing I'm not sure of there is there a side curtain airbag all the way in the back up in the ceiling.

I added the 3rd row to our old 2005 Explorer. The seat belts shouldn't be a problem as the upper mounts will be behind the trim panels, and the seat anchors will most likely act as the lower anchor point for the buckle (just look at a parts diagram to verify).
As said above, the rear trim panels will have to be changed out. I modified the existing trim to fit the seat belt hole and trim piece, but it never fit completely flush (not bad, but not perfect).
You will need new rear floor inserts and carpet floor panels, but the bolt holes will be in the floor for everything. The biggest pain will be getting all the correct fasteners for all the floor panels, seat belts, etc.
