Hello guys,
I have a 2012 expedition el.
From one day to another the remote start does not work at all.
I’ve replaced the fobs batteries
Tested the car battery. Made sure all doors are locked and the vehicle is armed and the remote start does not do anything at all. I’ve tried with 2 fobs and nothing. The fobs turn on but the truck doesn’t do anything. Not a beep or anything. This is the separate ford remote start fob not the ones built into the regular keys. Is there maybe a relay or fuse that blew and stopped the remote start from working? What could I be missing? It worked perfectly day in and day out and suddenly stopped working completely. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Ummm...relays...the bane of my (& my 011 EL's) existence

If you search around, there are several threads on this, including my own, usually under the "No start/no crank" or "Anti theft xx" monikers....

But I can summarize here by saying that I had not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 friggin relays go bad over a 12 month period, leading to some major frustration on my part, not to mention way too many trips to 3 different dealerships and a bunch of $$ also.

There could be several other reasons for your situation, but I would start with the relays and go from there...

However, I haven't had any other issues since getting the last group of 3 replaced back in July..fingers crossed
