Placed my order on a 2012 Limited 4x4. I wanted it in Tuxedo Black, but since the earthquake in Japan Ford has put that color on hold and no one knows when it will be made again. Kinda bummed out, but still got the old black color.

Now my biggest problem is waiting the 8-12 weeks for it to come in!!

Will keep everyone posted.

Thanks!! Looking forward to getting out of the Nissan Pathfinder I have been in the last 4 months. Went from a F250 FX4 to my grandparents Nissan, that was a BIG change.

The big question now is, which tires? Nitto's, Pro Comp, BFG KTO, FC II, Mickey T's, what y'all think. Need something that will handle the Louisiana mud, but still get good wear on the asphalt.

Suggestions?!?

$1500 or so on tires. But if I find a really good tire that I like and will do well in the mud, but also get wear I will spend more.

Nitto Trail Grapplers, they are a combination between Nittos awsome Mud Grappler (great for slogging trough deep mud but sound like an f16 on the road) and their awesome pavement princess terra grapplers (great for mostly road & light offroading) which makes a very good offroad tire but with good manners and sound level of a non M/t, thats what im getting

I am looking at the Nitto Trail, BFG TKO, FC II, and the Mickey T ATZ.

well dont look into M/ts. $$$$ the FC IIs are a good tire. my uncle had them on his jeep. did pretty good in some light soupy mud and rocks. and if you like mud, i would stay away from the KM2s. they turn into slicks, even with a lot of HP to spin them. your best bet would be the Nitto Trail Grapplers, or even the Hankook Dynapro MT RT03s.

I figured the M/T's would have a pretty high price point, but the parts guy at the dealership recommend as one to look at. The FC II and Trailer Grapplers are probably my top two at this point. The MT RT03s appear to not be an option due to size. No 33x12.50R20.

i forgot your putting them on stock wheels. what do you plan to do mostly? (street/off road) if its 90/10 then get the FC IIs. if its lets say 70/30 then get the trail grapps.

I am actually going with new wheels, but thinking about sticking with 20's. I would also say that I do 85-90 street driving and 10-15 off road.

Treycool

Starting with a 3/2 lift, rims, tires, and tint.

Walnuts

Not looked much at the Procomps. Will add them to the list for consideration. Thanks for the suggestion. I see you are running them. What kind of mileage are you getting out of them?

then i would stick with an At tire. not telling you should, but Ats last a bit longer on the road. and nuts never gets stuck with his tires, or so he says...

i dont care much for the procomps sorry nuts but almost every shop i talk to that carries them says the are harder to balance and keep balanced. its sad when the shops that carry them say this and recommend a cheaper tire even when i say not worried bout price just functionality

I've had mine on for over 20K and 2 years and no problems with balance or wear... and they are great in mud and snow/ice.... I have ran pretty much every tire over the years.... BFG, Swamper, Goodyear and they all have there goods and bads but so far the Xtreme Ats have done great no complaints outta them... plus they have like a 40K mileage warranty so can't go wrong hard to find that on 37"+ tires...
