Hello All, I am new to the site and we purchased a 2013 Expedition Limited with a tow package and 70k miles last year and we also purchased a new rv travel trailer, 2021 Forest River 28QBXL which is 6300 lbs dry.

I am trying to get a breakdown of the options on the 2013 Expedition to understand the tow package and if it has the capabilities to safely tow this camper.

Any info on vin breakdown would be greatly appreciated, the vin is 1FMJU2A52DEF05377.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thank you,

Mike

1oldtimer, worked great, thank you for the info and help. Also, I did purchase the anti away/weight distribution setup as well.

I am looking forward to getting out on road for a change from this past year...

Wish you well in you travels,

I believe if it's a Limited it already has the HD tow, but to be sure, check to see if it has the 7 pin connector, also check if it has the built in trailer brake controller. This would be below the Climate Control Panel, if it has both, then it definitely has the HD Tow Package, mine is a 2014 Limited and it has it

Vincentrose,

Yes on both points, trailer brake controller and 7 pin connector.

Thank you for the reply.

So I pickup my new rv I purchased this past December, in two weeks in central Pennsylvania, and tow it home, hopefully with no problems and safely.

Trip is just over 300 miles each way. I live in central Massachusetts.
