2013 Limited 119 inch Power running board replacement.

I've got a 2013 Expedition Limited with power running boards. My driver's side has become pretty unreliable over the last couple years. I've always power washed and lubed the joints at least a couple times a year but recently the driver's side is reluctant to go up unless persuaded with a pushing foot. Watching it try to go up it certainly looks like the rear hinge is "dragging" and causing the problem since it doesn't lift evenly. So, I thought I'd just replace the whole thing (minus the running board itself) with one of the several full bracket and motor kits I'm able to find. I might have to spend a bit more but I figured that would surely fix the issue vs just getting a motor or brackets. The problem is, after quite a bit of looking, I can only find the kit for the 131" wheelbase, not the 119".

Is there a full kit for the 119" that I'm just not seeing?

Can I get the kit for the 131" and reuse my current shaft and attach it to the new motor and hinges?

Should I tear the entire thing off and replace it with plastic milk crates?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

So am I to understand that there is no less-expensive kits (like the one I linked to below) for the 119" that don't include the step?

I don't think I need to replace the step, itself, and would certainly rather reuse it, if possible. I'm not seeing a kit on Tasca's website for the kit without the step.

I just don't have $1000 to throw at this project.

So, if I'm understanding your post correctly, you want to keep your existing boards, and just replace the motors, shafts, and possibly the mounting brackets....

if so, then lookie here (this says specifically it is for the 2013/119" wheelbase models):

Hope this helps, cause I'm going to do replace the same parts on my '11 EL sometime this summer, but of course I WILL need the 131" versions

Note that I resurfaced my boards last year, which themselves are in really good condition, using the same textured paint-like stuff that is used for truck beds & undercoating... it runs about $30/qt + a pair of textured rollers & a pair of latex gloves for a total of ~$40.. worked like a charm and made them look brand new but with a better-than-OEM, gritty-looking texture, which gives you a safer, non-slip texture too

Yes, that's exactly my intent. But the problem I'm encountering is that if like to get the whole thing (minus the step) but I keep finding that the only thing I can locate for the 119 is motors only, which I believe is the same with the link you included.

Also, I did Raptor Liner on mine several years ago and love it. I did the step, door bottom trim, and fender flares and it turned out great.
