I’ve got an ‘04 Eddie Bauer, and a ‘16 EL.

The ‘04 has over 300k mi. Never had any serious issues with it…
1- water pump
2- hi-beam switch
3- driver side window regulator
4- COP harness connector
5- driver side ball joint
6- passenger rear inner cv axle boot

The ‘16 182k mi. had…
1- water pump changed (dealer said it was bad and changed under warranty (never saw any signs of leaks)).
2- Passenger front window track replaced due to noise when rolling up/down.
3- Blower motor and motor resistor
4- front brake pads replaced due to cracking
5- driver side front brake caliper locked up

I didn’t know there was a recall on the AC blower motor on my 2015 expy with 67k miles. Just replaced it yesterday with the blower resistor. All parts bought from Amzn. Hopefully it will last longer than the motorcraft POS

Thanks for the Info. It's nice to hear honest replies.

One reason I mentioned the open safety recall for 2015 - 2017 models is that dealers are prohibited by federal law from selling new or used vehicles with an open safety recall. Because Ford will not have parts available until next year, there may be used 2015 - 2017 models languishing on the dealer lots with a safety recall hold.

FYI, I tried replacing the blower resister with an aftermarket part and had weird issues with fan speed jumping up and down. The issue went away when I switched to a Motorcraft part.
