I just picked up a 2015 XL/SSV that needs a center console. Is there any reason a jump seat from a similar year model F150 wouldn't bolt right in? I've struggled to find hole patterns or dimensions for an F150 jump seat.

I did this in my 2016 EL SSV.

I installed a tan cloth one from what I think was a 2012 or 2013 F150 in a self-service salvage yard. But don't quote me on the year.

I took the mounting bolts along with. Some were only accessible after pulling the seat cushion up and off. The tan color was not quite the same as my 2016, but close enough for my purposes.

Two of the bolt holes in the rear of the seat lined up after I cleaned out the threads. The rear holes were so jammed with dust that I couldn't tell if they were threaded or not at first. I had to drill in some sheet metal screws to hold down the front.

I didn't install the seat belts, as I was not confident in its ability to hold up in a crash. So it functions solely as a center console. The extra cup holders on the top and back side sure are handy!

Hope that helps.

LOL! I went nuts going from a 2001 XLT with a 60-40 seat to a 2007 with that huge open spot between the seats. Drove me crazy! I grabbed a matching color F150 console out of the wrecking yard and it fits like a glove. The only real problem I had was mounting, as there are wires down there under that carpet. So, I razor-knifed a split in it to make sure I didn't screw the screw....and screw myself! :O :D

This is how it turned out. It’s not the greatest fit and finish but it does the job.
