My 2016 Expedition will not start, wife and I drove to her Mother's home for a short visit and when we went to leave the car would not start. There was no sound whatsoever from inside car or under the hood. Checked the battery by hooking up to a charger and it was down some so I charged it up. After the charge completed tried to start again got same result as before nothing. I will head back up there to look at fuses and other connections but would like to know if any of you have an idea as to what to check before I take it to the dealership. Thanks in advance for any assistance you all can give.

I should add that I get no lights on the dash or anywhere else in vehicle.

Had battery tested and saw that it was good. I was able to jump start it and drove it home, was on the highway running 70mph everything was fine. Got home turned it off then tried to restart and got nothing. Thinking now it may be the alternator. Since I have an extended warranty I will take it to the dealer on Monday.

Let us know the outcome. Good luck.

I was leaning towards the battery also. These new electronics get super finicky when the battery isn’t doing EXACTLY what it’s supposed to do. Glad it’s figured out.

Glenn is the winner, it was the battery. Always look for the simple answer first.
I'm glad it was a (relatively) simple and inexpensive solution. A number of us on here have had the battery issue bite us.

Last time it happened to me, was with an 18mo old battery, so I mistakenly eliminated the battery as the cause. Nope, and unlike batteries of 20 years ago that got weaker before failure, these modern pieces don't provide a "getting weaker" warning, they are perfect 1 one day and dead as a doornail the next.

As 99 White said in a post a while back, batteries are now a maintenance item. 3-4 years and out.
