I have been having some issues with my 2016 I just purchased Certified Pre-Owned. So I decided to dig through any information available on NHTSA.gov and found this gem:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/SB-10092559-5448.pdf

SSM 46016

Some 2016-2017 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built on or before 08/12/2016 and 2016 F150 vehicles built on or before 08/09/2016 equipped with Sirius satellite radio may exhibit an intermittent concern where the audio cuts out and the radio displays a No Signal message while driving in open sky conditions in certain locations in your area. This may be due to interference with cellular phone tower signals. If a vehicle displays this condition near cellular phone towers, replace the audio unit antenna with part number GL1Z-10E893- AC on Expedition/Navigator and HL3Z-10E893-AA for F150. Refer to Workshop Manual(WSM), Section 415-00 for removal and installation instructions. Use applicable labor operation(s)in the SLTS Manual Section 11.

Update: Doesn't apply to my 2016's VIN number despite experiencing the issue.

I had the dreaded "acquiring signal" issue in my Mercedes. I replaced the Sat radio module (plug and play), reactivated it with the new ID #, and it's worked ever since.

My 08 cuts out perhaps three or four times an hour for a few seconds. Acquiring signal. I always thought this was normal. Complain to Sirius and they'll knock you down to $5/month or so.

So when told it didn’t apply to my VIN the Ford rep on the phone said the XLT Model in 2016 didn’t have satellite radio. I asked them to look at the option group and they said didn’t matter. Got a supervisor to call me back. Explained and she said she would escalate it further and call me back the next day or early the following week. Didn’t hear back. Called in on Thursday and Friday with promises of updates that haven’t come.

Ok an update. There is a newer bulletin 47047 that covers my VIN. Replacement was down yesterday. No longer cutting out.

I'm so glad I happened upon this thread. Our 206 has had problems with Sirius reception since we got it two years ago. Can't wait to take it in and have the signal loss in the middle of open sky go away.

I haven't paid more than $5/mth for Select for the last 6+ years. I would legitimately cancel it if they ever stopped giving me the promo rate as the music just repeats over and over. :/

I have the same problem on my 2016. I know all the places it will happen and it is consistent. How do you remove the antenna to replace the unit?

Since there is a service bulletin for it, if you are still within warranty mileage wise it should be covered. Ford covered it in my case.

My 2016 just turned 100,000 so I don't have any warranty left. I looked up part GL1Z-10E893- AC and it looks like it is in the vehicle and not on the roof. What am I not understanding?

I just called my local dealer service department about getting this fixed. I told them "SSM 47047" and they said "What is that - the model number of the radio?" LOL

My 2016 VIN didn’t fall within their recall range. I ordered the part from Tasca for $42.90 tax and shipping. Pretty easy installation but you do need a 5.5 mm socket to take off a few things.
