I want to delete the muffler and replace with 3 inch straight pipe off the 2 bolt flange. will the kit from the F150 fit? It looks the same and I cant find it for the Expy.

I want to keep the resonator on the rear. I will probably need a small muffler with the offset between from and rear of muffler. I found the stainless muffler delete for the F150 and think it will fit with the offset muffler. I should have an all stainless 3" exhaust when done? (Factory stainless behind the muffler?) I am looking for some more Whistle !!

I am just saying. Do a search on here, and take a listen. These do not sound well when the exhaust is messed with. Just my opinion.

If I were here, you would know it !
Straight pipes are great....for rice burners and sheer performance vehicles, for trucks, not so much...

I know a neighbor that did what you are proposing on a 2016, and he changed it back to OEM style 2 months later...:(

If whistle/grunt/baw waw is what you want, why not just add the appropriate part to the end of the tailpipe & be done with it ?

I kept resognator and had installed a muffler similar to flowmaster 20's.
It's not loud at all idle, but I feel the sound suits the Xp

If you want more whistle, I would suggest modifying the other side of the turbo (the intake side) go and get yourself one of those cold air intakes. I prefer hearing the turbos from the engine instead of the exhaust anyways. This way, you dont have to put up with the awful exhaust noise these things make.
