Yesterday my rear passenger door became stuck closed and wouldn't open from either the inside or outside handles. I am not sure how to get it open so any help would be appreciated. I can't access the bolt on the bottom to remove the panel since the door is stuck closed. I removed the opposite side door panel to see if I could get an idea of what may be the problem but I am not sure how I could even get access with the door being closed. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this issue?

There are threads on this issue in the 3rd gen section.
The fix was to go after the child lock button with something long and flat from the inside.
Open the other door to see what you are working with and where to get to it.

TIP: once you get near the child lock, start pulling the interior handle over and over while trying the child lock.
But don't take my word for it,

Search box top right of the page put in rear door stuck closed and you will see a few threads on the subject.
Come back and let us know if you got in.

The lock mechanism may be preventing the door to open. Try rocking the lock button back and forth, as it may be stuck.
I'm guessing here, but my passengers cannot open the doors until I put the vehicle in park. If they grab the handle, it compresses without opening the door.
