2018 Platinum LED Headlight Assy Swap

Has anybody with a non-Platinum expedition swapped to the Platimum LED headlight assemblies?

Iam wondering the same thing. Their are no after market head lights for these trucks. I have a xlt and want to so the smoked lens and the led lights..

You’re looking at about 1000 a pop for each headlamp assembly from Ford. Chaaa Ching.

Unless you could get your hands on some salvage parts, but late model OEM parts usually don’t even make it to the consumer level; big time part operations grab those up quick, because of demand.

You could consider scoring a total loss truck with intact headlamps. Sucky thing is that the assembly is one piece...so it wouldn’t be easy to replace just the LED or something if it didn’t work. Example..(busted driver side though)

Most vehicles are crashed in the front end, so the headlights are usually junk.....

I know this is not on topic. But have any of you up grded the audio system for basic Ford that comes on the xlt to and aftermarket system or can you put the B&O system in...

If you search, there’s another thread on here with an XLT driver complained about the bad halogen headlights - driver was willing to buy upgraded parts for factory LED headlight assembly seal, but it requires a software reprogram too, and Ford said no to the dealership.

Would like to do this as well. I know in the F-150 the harness is different for the LEDs. I'm sure its the same on the Expeditions. Someone would have to come up with a functional harness adapter.
