Figured id just share these LED Projector headlights i build for my 04 last year. Despite warping the headlight housings some from baking and separating the lenses, they turned out fantastic and im very happy with them. Im no stranger to doing retrofit projectors in my other vehicles but this was my first set using LED projectors instead of HID projectors. I used the 3" Bi-LED Projectors from DDM tuning and some Amazon headlight assemblies and some LED highbeam bulbs.

I used a diode to allow low beam and high beam to work correctly without the need for any exterior wiring or kits, the headlights are fully plug and play. The diode allows the shutter of the projector to open as well as turn on the high beam bulb for both to be on at same time. Even with both the projector and LED highbeam, it still only draws a few amps of power.

The picture does not really give credit, but the low beam has a very sharp cutoff to not blind other drivers and is perfectly bright. The high beam is like releasing the sun between using the projector and the highbeam bulb at same time.

got more pics and details here

nahh i dont have time to build and sell them. and these are alittle harder to do because the headlight lens is soo large that its hard to get them seperated. would hate to warp a housing some, sell them and have someone be angry that they are alittle messed up. but overall the cost wasnt that much but still might be more than many want to spend since you still have to do the labor to do it

new aftermarket headlight assemblies are like 60-120$ range for the pair depending on brand. i think i used TYC brand when i did mine.

DDM Tuning 3" Bi-Led projector kit was 120$

probably around 20$ for projector shrouds.

they do sell different LED bulbs for highbeam if you wanted that also

i used these diodes cause they are cheap and avalible. this allows you do use high beam correctly without needing a seperate relay kit like many hid and projectors kits need

other than maybe some JB weld and sealant for the lense. thats about all i can think of. i did these a year ago

i made a note that if i had to build another set again i would not try seperate the lens like i normally do, it was too risky. i would cut a square out of the back of the housing and then just glue it back together which is another popular method

im currently build another set of projectors for my 96 bronco. i got them mocked up currently but ben too busy to finish. i build projectors for it over 10 years ago but the lenses are too sunbaked so its time for another set. these lenses were a pain to seperate also but they were alot smaller so it came out just fine

if you are curious the difference between projectors and reflective. this is what the bronco headlights looked before and after projectors using the same 55w HID and housings. using low beam

i built a set for my 90 F250 few years ago. they look odd cause how modern and new the lights are on such an old beat up bodystyle. not that some work has been done to the truck and the lenses are starting to fade it looks more appropriate. but they still shine amazing. downside is i used TheRetrofitSource to buy the projectors and it was stupidly expensive and i didnt see any real difference in quality. there supposed to be alot better but i find DDM Tuning is perfectly fine quality and alot cheaper
