Just picked up my Navigator from the tint, paint correction, and ceramic coating guy. It’s hard to tell too much difference from these pictures but in person there is a huge difference in the paint having the correction and coating applied. I didn’t realize how many imperfections there could be with a car built 3 weeks ago but there were swirls in the black areas and the paint had weird imperfections as well. Now everything looks like glass and the coating makes its super slippery. The tint will have the annoying haze until it properly cures but overall I’m happy with the cost and final product. I also had xpel clear bra installed along the running boards and black trim area around the back bumper and inside the door sills. The next picture I should post is a empty wallet now that purchase and extras and a tank of gas have all been paid for lol.9997515C-1F1A-4C14-88FF-828419C266F3.jpegB7BB7616-B73F-45AD-AAA5-1A88E444FAF3.jpeg0B5FA68A-545F-459B-BFF8-F1F53FDBDD9C.jpeg14634AD0-1D47-43FF-B13F-D3DCAA126C6D.jpeg

It gets way easier the more u use it. I do like the fact that its not in the way when using the wireless charger and hvac ctrls. Is it weird i like running my fingers around the dial and buttons?

How are you liking the dial shifter? I can never get used to them and it throws me off when I drive a dodge. I’m sure if you use it every day it’s second nature though.

I’m still getting used to the dial shifter. However after driving Expedition all day yesterday, I drove our 2015 F-150 and my hand was prepared for dial not the center console shifter. Lol.

My biggest challenge is when I jockey the Expedition in a specific parking spot, going from R to D but I rotate it into P because my brain didn’t engage. . Total user issue nothing wrong with Expedition.

On a separate note, on my way to the snow, as we were driving through the Salt River Canyon, I noticed a 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen in a row....my sister was driving hers- the 3rd gen. My son captured a picture of it since I was driving.
I think my sister wants to update hers. I have to take Mad Max over for a side by side comparison later. More to come

Gave her a bath to celebrate a win. Go Blue!

Dial is nice, but a problem for me as I have a shifter on my truck, always reaching for it.94d9eab2d12ec181fd265469cee55f85.jpgb86f1a87cc06f2ff90d51eee0e4f8091.jpg

Nice truck. How about some interior shots when you get a chance. Best of luck with your new truck.

I understand. Anyone else have an 18 Expy. Post some interior pictures. By the way we accept exterior pictures too. LOL

So here’s a photo of the Expedition convoy. I don’t know the first 2 Expedition owners, it was a weird coincidence that we were lined up like this.

So, my sister is the owner of the 2016 black Expedition Limited EL. She drove mine and wanted to drive to the dealership to trade hers in. The ride and handling she felt was superior. Her words not mine. To be fair I didn’t drive hers, but allowed her to take mine out. On the same trip I averaged 24 mpg, she was 17 mpg. We loaded her gear in, and other than spending the cash there was nothing she didn’t love about it.

SHW, how many miles do you have on your truck and how long was your trip? 24mpg sounds amazing and something I’m hoping wasn’t a fluke or miscalculation because I had a ‘14 with a 5.4 that I got 19-20 on trips when loaded up with the wife, kids, dog and all the gear we needed for a long weekend and I was happy with that but in my ‘17, I never once was even able to hit 17mpg and the last trip we took, I had the wind to my back both ways.

Usually I average 17 MPG Highway with my 5.4 Triton V8. 18.4 MPG has been my best.

3-1/2 hours.... 177 miles. We have to go slow through the small towns. I have 2k miles on it. So safe to say she is broken in. Also our trip was up hill mostly. So on the way back, can’t wait to see that gas mileage.

Thanks. Wife picked them out for winter. I am not a chrome fan either, so I am happy. I don't really like the stock wheels, but, will be ready for a change come summer, so having these for a good part of the year works out nicely.
