2024 - tap 12V for front proximity sensors

I have purchased a license plate mounted proximity sensor for the front of the truck.

Planning to use an area on the driver's side firewall to bring the wire in the cabin which will be connected to a buzzer. I will be putting this on a switch to be mounted somewhere near the steering wheel since I don't want it to be operable in traffic.

Question is, what is the best place to tap into a 12v source on the driver's side area or on the center console?

What unit did you buy? I was considering one for my pick-up truck.

Bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002XUXUTS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title. Supposed to be for the rear, but will be installing on my front plate.

I did see the thread you shared, however, the fuse box in the truck is on the passenger's side.

Hoping to tap into something on the driver's side so that I don't have to deal with routing cables from one side of the cabin to the other (I would have to take apart the center counsel).
