Obviously price isn't an obstacle for some people. I think most of us are enthusiasts and can judge a vehicle on merits other than perceived value. I look at all cars, from Kias to McLarens. I'm a transit proponent, but it just so happens that enjoy engineering and cars. Just because I can't afford some of them or think some are a poor value doesn't stop me from assessing their design and features. On every YouTube review and forum comment someone weighs in about how a vehicle is too expensive. Maybe for you, but then obviously you're not the target demographic. And that's ok, it's nice for consumers to have options. And depreciation is a thing.
Well said

The play might be buying a lightly used navigator for the same price as a stealth performance in a year or two! Just make sure it was privately owned and not a limo/taxi

The denali ultimate is the same price but does not have the luxury touches, ambience, and seat comfort of the navigator. Yes it has air ride, and some tech that the escalade has, but it will not have the luxury feel of a navigator. Also, though I am as annoyed as everyone there was no air suspension option, the truck isn't even out yet and everyone is already making judgements on The ride quality. Ford has made changes to the suspension, and they say it rides way better so let's wait for that. A lot of people, myself included actually think the current gen expy and nav rides better than the gms on most most roads, it's the rough road ride that needs work.

I will agree that the wagoneer feels fresher, but I wouldn't say better built and the quality is a lot less. The gw series 2 I drove had a lot of hanging trim and exposed wires. And the base revel in our nav (and 30 spkr unit) was way better of s stereo than the wagoneer 23 spkr Macintosh. My dads escalades 20 spkr unit was also better.
Curious what you're referring to as "changes to the suspension"? My understanding is the suspension is identical to the existing except for the Tremor model which is supposed to get some slightly upgraded off-road suspension. Maybe that just means shocks that won't leak in the first 5k miles? And I don't believe there's a Tremor version of the Navi so it's likely identical to today's.

They didn't speak on it at all during the nav reveal, but if you watch the expy videos with interviews and etc, they state that they changed the connection points and such to make it ride more modern, quiet and handle the new towing weights. They stressed that though the general design is the same, the parts are not interchangeable.

The build and price still isn't up.
