I’ve had a request in with Helminc for several months now for a USB version service manual. Why the delay or is it intentional to not release to the public? Clearly it is in circulation. Thoughts?

For the dealers, the Workshop Manual is on-line through the Ford PTS system. The advantage with that format is that it can be updated or corrected quickly. So, the USB drive version is something that is probably meant for the public. I would imagine it will be available eventually

I've always purchased the Factory Service manuals in the past. My last manuals were for a 2007 Explorer. I didn't realize they no longer make printed manuals now that I have a 25 Tremor. I purchased a digital download manual through factory-manuals.com. It took a few days for them to prepare it. They say it's customized per your VIN. A few days later I had a 1.1 Gb file to download. It takes my M1 Macbook about 2 minutes to open it, but once it's open it's very responsive. It appears to have all the same information my printed books had. It's set up in the same format. It also includes the wiring diagram manual. I can't say I prefer it over the book version. The more I use it and get familiar with it, the more I'm liking it. It's just a PDF so it could go on a USB. Could be slow if we're talking a thumb drive.
