Yes she yells at me, I'm used to it! Notice it kicks and holds 6th gear in sport mode under heavy throttle. This was a heavy feather, not wide open.
20lbs of boost does exist!

While I enjoy my 5.4L Triton, it’s not as fast, and I won’t claim it to be. But it does move this rig along good and sounds good doing so. Let’s not start one of these debates again lol. It ends up a long drawn out fight with no victor. The Ecoboost while not without its issues like any other is a pretty reliable platform.

I've got almost 2500hp collectively sitting in my driveway....
Do you really think the 1-2psi difference your whining about means anything to me?
I mean afterall..... according to the factory specs sheet it shouldn't even be able to make it sustain 18psi of boost....
Good thing Ford under-rated this motor for future marketibg purposes.

Every vehicle I own runs more than one turbo....
If a turbo grenades, it's because I was making that motor my ***** then instantly told her it' all ok and quit beating on her.
With how these are tuned, barking a turbo would be very difficult if not impossible.
With that said, I have grenaded a turbo or 2 in my time on applications 800hp and up.
One was from a charged air pipe clamp letting go at 50psi. Toasted the bearing as result of overspeeding it.
