I picked up a 2000 expedition this past weekend and all the lights work except the 3rd brake light. I tried electrical cleaner but still nothing. Any ideas? Is there a specific fuse for the 3rd? Any help is appreciated

You didn't mention if you checked the 3rd brake light connection for power. Also the simplest, did you try a couple of new bulbs. Anyway I looked up your fuses, it's number #13, and #15. Their on the under dash fuse box, not the under hood one. I had problems with Sylvania bulbs burning out too quick. If you have a Ford dealer fairly close, buy the Ford #912 bulbs there. I did that almost 2 years ago on mine, and their still going strong. The Sylvania's burned out in just over 1 month.

Mine only uses 2, I guess the later ones used 3.

Thanks guys, turned out to be bad light sockets, picked up a few at the junkyard and fabricated a new harness. all good now.
