4' x 8' fits with ease.

My favorite stare-inducing load was 2 10' laminate countertops. Loaded them through the rear with the center second row seat folded down, rested them on the front center console, closed the hatch, and off I went.

These trucks are at least as functional as any pickup I've owned and way more practical.
yes i get them stares at lowes OFTEN..
if i can fit it ..i leave the long trailer at home.

BUT we did put 30 rolls of r19 insulation in a ford f350 crew cab once. wife had to ride in bed on way home. i hugged two rolls on the center console
after that i started taking the trailer is any doubt was in the picture..

There's not much that won't fit in the EL. Aside from full sheets of plywood, I have hauled a full-size reclining sofa and numerous pieces of commercial gym equipment w/ 8' framing posts - all with the hatch shut. When I hauled the sofa the guy at the furniture store asked me what size box truck I had. I told him I had an SUV and he told me I would never fit the sofa in an SUV. When I pulled up to the loading dock though, he remarked: "Oh wow. OK, it might fit." :p
