I have a 2001 expy and I haven't had it long. I'm having trouble figuring out which motor it has. The vin # says a 4.6 but my mechanic said its a 5.4. My stickers on the fan shroud are gone. The only number I can find on the motor is on the intake manifold. Is there anyway to determine which it is. And my second question is about the coils. Are the coils for a 4.6 different from the ones for a 5.4? Only reason I ask is because is still under the car lots warranty and a coil went bad so the mechanic put one in for me and he said its a 5.4 without really looking into it. I believe the coil he put in is the wrong coil. It wiggles back and forth and all my other coils are not. Its missing again and I think its the new coil.
