I have a 2003 Expo. I have a rough running engine with codes p0301 and p0302. I replace both original coils and plugs. Still running rough will not accelerate any suggestions?

recheck the connectors on the coils make sure they are clean and tight use a little dialect grease on the contact area

Did you replace the rubber boot between the coin and plug?

May seem like a crazy question but what side of the engine did you change coils and plugs on Drivers side or passenger side?

P0301 through P0310 - Misfire Detection Monitor The misfire detection monitor is designed to monitor engine misfire and identify the specific cylinder in which the misfire has occurred. Misfire is defined as lack of combustion in a cylinder due to absence of spark, poor fuel metering, poor compression, or any other cause. Ignition system
Fuel injectors
Running out of fuel
EVAP canister purge valve
Fuel pressure
Evaporative emission system
Base engine

So the 5.4 and 4.6 are notorious for having leaky intake gaskets along with leaky heater hoses. I would suggest pulling the alternator and see if it looks wet in the valley under the intake. I just recently got done with my wifes 2004 5.4 intake gasket swap to fix a constant misfire on #4 (P0304 code). What kind of mileage do you have?

I had the same issues until I changed my intake gaskets and plugs/coils. This seems to be a standard issue with higher milage 4.6/5.4s

Bedrck47 - yes I replaced the boots, checked connections, and on the right side of the engine from front of truck, first and second coil & plug.
