4h to 2wd

when we swithch to lets say 4h in snow...i drove like 20 ft......then stopped....moved knob(switch) to 2wd.....does it happen INSTANTLY?....i put mine back to 2wd...and got noting....but when i went from 2wd to 4h...it happened instantly.

only after i got it off snow and drove it like 40 yards....stopped...put it in park and tried switch again....THEN it switch to 2wd...:rolleyes5:

worried me...lol

sometimes it acts up a little on mine as well. i had my expedition since new 98. it used to switch on a dime. now it takes a little longer to disengage. i guess like anything else, age takes a toll on the motor that engages and disengages. i wouldn't worry too much. when it stops working completely.......that's when i would worry
