2002 expedition with 5.4L 4x4 (XLT)
Got stuck in 4x4 Low Range, so I pulled the gear selector few months ago.
Replaced the gear selector today, and went for a test ride.
In A4WD, the dash flashes 4X4. It never did that before. Is that correct?
In 4 Low and 4 High, nothing displays on the dash, and it drives like it’s not in 4WD. No popping and clicking in turns. Good acceleration, etc.
The new gear selector motor came predicted for the selector. My repinning of the connector matches the before pics.
What’s likely going on?
