I have a 97 EB 5.4L today my wife was driving to get daughter from school and the a4wd, 4x4, low Range lights all came on and when the light come on the rpms drop from where ever they are at to 700rpm and then the lights flicker off and it jumps back to the original rpms you were at before the lights came on. Surges real bad when light go off. It is raining for first time in long time so not sure if there is a sensor maybe on transfer case that could be related to the 4x4 switch on dash that is shorting out, and when the lights come on it is like it is trying to go into 4 low and causing rpms to drop like it is or what not. any ideas ?
