I searched and found some starting points, especially about the blander door.

I tried filling the system with coolant and got the pressure in range, compressor kicked on and still didn't have cold air coming through the vents.

I'll be tearing into it heavily on Sunday and I wanted to know what I am getting myself into if I have to check out the Evaporator and such.

Do I need to pull the dash out?

I plan on filling the system again to the correct PSI, turn the engine off and listen for leaks. If there are leaks I guess I will start there. I hope it isn't anything too major. If all the pressures are correct and I still don't have cold air blowing... what is my next area I should look into?

Thanks.

Well... I didn't get any help but I figured I'd post my results for others.

I fixed a lot of little issues on the Ex today... but the most important one was the A/C not working.

I filled the system with 12oz of refrigerant and it didn't make a huge change in the pressures, but I did get the compressor to kick on and stay on for about 15 seconds before the pressure dropped to 25psi and shut it off. I had no pressure on the high side.

I decided to start from scratch and leaked the system down and I conducted a vacuum test and pressure test... figuring either air was in the system or refrigerant was leaking out under pressure. Both tests passed. I did some online research and found that Exs with dual A/C units (Main A/C and Aux.) systems were larger in capacity than normal trucks. They hold 64oz of refrigerant. So I went back to Autozone, picked up 5 more can of R134. Filled the system up one can at a time, monitoring the pressures. Air started to get cooler. After the last can went in, the low side pressure really dropped for a second and the high side shot up to a steady 210psi. The low side then accepted a little more refrigerant until it settled at 45psi while the compressor was running.

Outside air was around 95deg. The A/C vents front and rear on full blast were blowing 73deg.

I'll take that.

Fixed for now.

I feel you need to replace the refrigerants. Normally the cease of cold air can be due to it.

I'm pretty sure when its 100degree out, My AC is in the 60s for sure. It gets cold, but I just had the compressor, lines, refrigerant all replaced and recharged.
