After replacing the entire fuel hanger assembly on my RWD 5.4L with an Airtex hanger assembly I've noticed a couple of new issues that weren't present prior to the replacement.
First is that when filling with fuel, I can't use much delivery pressure at the pump or gas will spill out. I have verified that the vent tube is connected from the tank to the filler neck (I replaced this with a new hose).
The second is that I now notice, at least when the tank is below 1/4 full, that when coming off of a cloverleaf ramp to merge onto an interstate (downhill ramp), when I attempt to get back in the throttle, it acts like it is bogged down or trying to stall but it recovers in a second or two.
Any thoughts as to what I might look at? There are no current or pending OBD II codes present.
Thanks,
Ted
