'92 EXPY Interior trim question

The HVAC vent adjusting lever on the passenger side near the door has come apart. Does anyone know how to pull out the adjustable vent? It appears I would need to pull the whole dash and I don't want to do that if I don't have to.

the blend door and the blend door actuator are both problematic on these..

did the motor come apart? or did the door break?

or are you talking about the vent in the dash by the window?

I'm talking about the vent adjacent to the window. The Ford service manuals don't show how to take it out. The horizontal vanes are still in place but the vertical adjusting lever has come off and is laying inside the vent making it impossible for the wife to adjust it.

Thanks Walnuts! I was able to get it out. I was able to reattach the vertical damper (which controls air thru the register) however the remaining parts that control the horizontal vanes are missing. I'll have to check the local salvages for another vent with all the controls with it. At least the vent functions now for the wife in this 100 degree plus weather (actually 112 this afternoon).
Thanks again,
Ken
