99 tranny gone bad maybe selonoids

i have a 99 5.4 with i believe the e40d tranny and my shift seloniods is gon bad i think it selenoid b,my truck on has 109k miles on it
any1 eles experiencin this problem

I,m a newbie here, as I am a new Expedition owner. I have a 00' XLT ( 5.7 I think) I have 135k on the Odo and I am have shifting issues. At high RPM's usually into 3rd my truck is either pushing or pulling right and letting go after I let of the gas a little. Thought of motor mounts with no success. Not sure about coil packs, and shifting selenoids. Can someone explain or help!

hey you meant 5.4l,we both share similar issues my truck do pull to the right mostly,remeber our expos are first gens you know lol,if age doesnt get to them first,mechanical issues will,as far as our tranny issues goes,im gonna go with bad selenoids,and bad line pressure,take it to a aamco and hook it up to a scan tool if u dont have 1,it shoud come up.

are there any fault codes? these trannies are pretty good about setting a code when a solenoid is faulty. why do you think it is solenoids?

or line pressure,when do your tranny began to slip or bang into gears??

im not sure i understand....please tell me the exact symptoms youre experiencing......and we will go from there. be specific.....

alright,my tranny slips and bangs(loud clunkin sound) into second and sumtimes 3rd gear,at any speed,sometimes if i am flat out it will shift fine sumtimes not,i recently fixed a problem when my OD light kept flashing on and off,when i took it to ford the tech said i had line pressure issues that was causing the OD light to flash.but that jus fixed 1 of my issues.
