Specific tranny issues

So we bought a CPO 2020 Expedition with 60k back in 2022. It already had the cam stuff taken care of and had some transmission work done before we got it. Within 9,000 miles it was jumping out of 3rd gear and the dealer redid the valve body I believe. Been "ok" ever since. Now we are at 118,000miles (warranty ends at 125,000) and I've noticed that it has gotten a bit more jerky with time. All maintenance has been done at the dealer and accepted all their recommendations including tranny flush at 100,000.

Tranny has: Hard shifts into 5th & 8th when driving. Every time when it goes into 8th it almost seems like the rpm's aren't matched correctly and it either feels like it slows for a second and/or makes a pronounced clunk as it goes in.
Hard downshifts into 3rd when slowing usually.
Sometimes if you are in Sport Mode the downshift into 1st in parking lots feels like its almost locked up it slows so quick.
When putting in reverse it usually takes a bit of revs for it to actually start moving no matter the incline or flatness of the road.

We are planning on taking it in for a broken tail light and inop rear blower and gonna have them address the trans issues then. I know these trucks have tranny issues as both of ours have had them, but has anyone had similar symptoms to mine? What was the cause?

Needs a new updated CDF drum.

Very very commin issue and the only successful fix is them taking the tranny apart and installing the new CDF drum.

My tranny clunks/shifts hard into 6th gear, most noticeable when its at full operating temp. I plan on getting it checked out before my warranty ends too

Thanks. I read about those but can’t find the repair work the dealer did right after we bought it so wasn’t sure if the did that already or not.

Took my 2020 into the dealer for a couple issues last week. One was transmission shifting badly into 3,5,7-8, etc. Got word today that the tech confirmed the issues and they are "doing a complete overhaul." I'm about 7,000miles away from the end of our warranty so pretty happy they are doing it.
