A/C Drain Tube Clean

Hi Everyone,
Felt sharing this experience could be of use to minimize work when in need to clean the drain pipe of the A/C. This advice works also for F/150 owners and any other with a similar drain pipe to Expedition (mine is a 2015 model).

So this is the scenario:
How to clean the a/c drain pipe from time to time without needing to disassemble any part of the car or taking a wheel off?

I assume you know where on the engine bay, passenger side, is located the drip pipe.

What you will need:
- A galvanized pipe (2ft lenght x 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch diameter)
- A 5ft Long Drain Brush Flexible Pipe cleaner ($6 on Amazon)

Steps:
1. Have a visual of the drain pipe.
2. Get the galvanized pipe and align it to the drain pipe (no need to push or wiggle anything around). Don’t push.
3. After the pipe in position, its very easy a nd straightforward, let the drain brush through. Very simple. Be gentle and do not Push. Remember you dont want to damage the coil inside, let it all through, if anything was obstructing it will be pulled out with the brush.
