Had an issue with A/C and when i got it back from the shop a few months back the cold air would blow at the defrost vent. At times it will blow the way it should (Vents).

THe rear air is okay...works great.

At times when I accelerate it will change from the Vents to the defroster....and it will take a long time to change back. SOmetimes days....

Frustrating as heck.....Needs some thoughts !!

Blows front vents the defroster

Yes, absolutely a vacuum leak...my dealer here in Scottsdale AZ when asked this questions thought "it could be anything"- let's check it for $129 diagnosis, seems that this is a very common issue. There is a line directly behind the battery coming out of firewall to a junction of three lines. There is a large rubber boot and the line breaks just below it. Wrap with electrical tape and your done. Mine is a 2004.
