A/C smells like an old shoe

When I first turn the A/C on it smells like my six year old's shoes.
Any ideas of the cause?

1. buy some new shoes

2. check the interiorfilter, think thats the problem.

do you need to top up your coolant? Its a coolant leak in the heater core, happened to me with that smell you just described.
