I picked up this 30 year old Jayco from my sister today. It's in pretty good shape, considering it's 30 years old. I plan on lifting the torsion axle in order to A) level the trailer to the truck, B) use a taller tire, C) give me more ground clearance. I still haven't installed the rear lift, but it'll happen some time this year.

I think you need to lower the receiver on the truck to get the trailer to ride even. They sell receivers with 2" up to 7" drop. Some are adjustable. One of these should solve your problem. You shouldn't have to modify the trailer.

The previous owner installed a lift on the front of the Expo. My hitch is a 3 1/2" drop.

Looks like you need more drop for the Pop-up to sit level

Yep. I'm hoping to lift the trailer real soon, then install the lift on the Expedition. Then I'll be able to figure out the exact drop I need.

Update: the new lift and new tires are on! I'll need to move some bracing around the wheel well. Hopefully I'll finish that part tomorrow. Here's where I'm at today:

We headed out today for a camping trip about an hour away from home. Close enough to home in case the kids can't hack it. So far, so good.

The Expedition is running amazingly since I got the plugs changed a couple weeks ago. I should have done it a long time ago. I need to install the rear lift on the Expedition, ASAP.
