AC acting up

So my AC works! However, when I give the truck gas it transfers the AC output to the defroster from the front vents. When I let of the gas it goes right back.

Any ideas?

Look for a vacuum leak in the tubing from the intake manifold to the firewall. Make sure the line is on the hot water valve there above the passenger side valve cover of the motor as well. A supply vacuum leak causes the issue you describe.

Yep, all this. I did this a year or 2 ago and mine works great now.
