Ive read and read about vacuum leaks causing the ac to flip from blowing thru vents to defrost but this is not my problem. My ac blows thru the vents just fine but when u accelerate to get on highway u can hear it flip to heat thru the vents . Can someone tell me if there is a certain vaccum line or motor that coukd cause this. Im at a lost with jt its an 04 ford expedition

Do you have the auto controls on the manual controls if you have the auto controls. There could be a vacuum leak in the auto control fordtechmakuloco has a video on it on YouTube

Sounds like a blend door issue. Look into that.

On first gens (not sure if it's the same on 2nd gens) you can cut a hole in the airbox behind the glove box to see if the blend door is working. If you have to replace it, you have to cut open the airbox anyway (or remove the entire dash).
