Does anyone know can I add XM Satellite radio to my wifes 99 Expedition... (Eddie Bauer XLT) and be able to direct connect that tuner to the stereo.... or is my only option to use the FM Modulator?

Thankyou in advance,
Lance

You are probably limited by the head unit in the Exby, as it does not have any auxilary inputs.

You may want to consider installing an aftermarket head unit, as most come with either XM or Sirrius radio controls as part their system (you will still need the antenna and the tuner). Unfortunately, you will have to deal with the CD changer issue with an aftermaarket unit........

Check out http://www.crutchfield.com/ for these systems.

You can use a PIE Aux. Input adapter (part FRDN-AUX). Unfortunatly if you have a CD Changer you will have to unhook it, or else use the FM Modulator.

I use the FM Modulator on my 03 Expy EB with the XM SkyFi, and it sounds great.

The PIE adapter can be purchased from www.xmfan.com along with other adapters and mounting hardware.

Here are some photos of my install:
