I have an 07' EL with several squeaks and rattles that I'd like to eliminate if possible. The biggest/louded rattle is the 2nd row bench seat. The passenger side end seat seems to be the culprit. I also have an intermittent squeak coming from the passenger side of the dashboard, or possibly from the door-mounted tweeter. Another intermittent rattle from below the center of the dash where the aux input for the stereo is. It could also be coming from the center console near the shifter.

I know these are kind of vague, just looking for suggestions and hopefully some experienced owners with advice.

Thanks all!

I have noticed several squeeks and rattles in my Expy as well. The one that bothers me the most seems to be coming from the dashboard under the pass side air bag and it only happens above 60 on the freeway. All I can say is have a passenger ride with you and grab things and see if the source of the noise can be found, it's usually something rubbing (plastic is bad for that) or loose. If it's hidden like in the dash then good luck finding it. I tried the old hit the dash a few times and that did nothing. I did get rid of one rattle which was in the folding seat where it clamps to the floor, a little lithium grease solved that one. Sorry but don't have much more help than that.

Can I "resurrect" this thread, as a funny rattle has started near the front of our dashboard, both on the passenger side, and the driver's side. Happens at low and high speeds both. Sounds like parts aren't fully clamped together, but there's nothing but a broad expanse of plastic to hide the culprit noise(s)
Any suggestions? An exorcism, perhaps? TAPS ghost Hunters?

I had a squeak on the driver side that was cause by the gauge panel. I pushed it back and it's been fine since. The airbag cover on the passenger makes noise once in a while. The wife pressed on it once and the noise went away. I haven't looked into it any further yet. Turning up the radio helps.

Thanks, Cobra! I'll try all three remedies! For now I can just leave the Expo home and drop the top on my 05 Mustang during these beautiful Ohio summer days; at least when I'm not hauling the kiddies around(!)

Nice ride. The wife has an 06 vert with the black interior. She lets me steal the keys once in a while. Although usually if I'm going to take a car I prefer to take mine.:naughty:
