Hey folks,
I am considering to install the double din nav HU into my 97 EB. I am curious to know where others have installed the antenna for the gps. I am familar with stereo setups but this will be my first install for gps type stuff so i want to make sure that it will pick up the signal with no issues as i do live/drive through some country areas.
Also does anyone happen to have any tips on building a box for a sub in the stock enclosure? I know that there is a thunderform for this model year but i dont happen to have 500 bucks to throw down on that. So i would like to install a 10'' in there. I have found some that are suited for free air but it would sound better within an enclosure correct?
Thanks for your time

I put mine on my dash by the windshield. It picks up the signal just fine. FYi, it's a Kenwood HU with built in Garmin GPS.

I have my antenna in the same location, off center on the dash at the bottom of the windsheild. Works great.

For the enclosure theres a couple tips that are greatfor that location. first of sound deaden the area. Second cut a couple sectinos of mdf for the back panel so that you can use the stock bolt mounting location to hold in your box. After that its up to you how you wanna do it. The last one I built had a section for the amp and a cap in it, basically the same setup as the stock enclosure.
