The orange air bag warning light came on yesterday a couple of times, but has not been on today. It was enough to prompt a warning on the My Ford App so I would imagine it has logged a set of codes that can be read by the dealer.

Hoping it is just a loose connection somewhere and not an issue with the restraints (seat belts) or the air bags themselves. I only have 89,000 kms on my odo.

Any one with other ideas on what it might be?

Internet-guessing will be no help.

Take the vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer and have the trouble code(s) retrieved, so you know how to proceed.

Of course. I was hoping someone on here may have had a similar experience so when I did get to the dealer I could speak with some semblance of knowledge.

As an example, I was having the mirror freaking out issue and brought it to the dealer. I said when checking the vehicle in that it was doing it and there was a software fix - a SSM number. They said they would look into it. They didn't do it, until I quoted the SSM number directly...

Was there anything sitting on the front passenger seat like a purse, laptop, books, etc.?

Also, was there anything under the front seats or pushing on the backs of the front seats (a rear-facing car seat or feet from a rear seat passenger)?
