Android dash cam app for Android head unit

Does anyone know of an android dash cam app that will work with an android head unit with RCA connected front camera? I've tried several from the app store but it seems because they are made for phones they won't recognize a camera connected via RCA ports

One thing to try, connect the backup camera that came with your unit to the front camera (DVR) input and try the apps. If no love, I'd look for an updated ROM for this head unit. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto

I am surprised yours did not come with one in the OS

mine did but I have no use for a dash cam
