Recently bought a 99 Expedition XLT 5.4L Triton 4x4 for $800. It has 175000 miles on it. It had a misfire on cylinders 2 and 7. Replaced the coils and plugs and ****** misfires gone
. It still has a few things I still have to fix like an exhaust manifold leak and I have to fix the passenger side window. Other than that it is a nice solid truck that starts and runs great. It is relatively rust free, the only rust on this is just starting on the inside of the passenger side doors near the bottom edges. I'll have to post pics of it hopefully tomorrow. You guys think I got a decent deal? It has some decent factory features like leather interior, power seat, 6 disc CD changer in center console, and "premium" sound. The only thing that kind of irritates me a little about the truck is that the current tire set up (which is what it calls for) makes the wheel wells look HUGE and empty. Is this normal? Does it really have THAT much travel? When I look at the side of my expy all I see is frame sticking out of the wheel wells and it irritates me. What size tire can I go with later on that will fill my wheel wells better without rubbing? Well sorry for the long post, I'll show you a pic of it from the side so you'll know what I mean.
