Anybody repair the seatbelt pretensioner due to code 33?

Looks like about to buy the repair kit and make the repair on the SOs Expy. Just curious if anyone has done this and how much of a PITA it may be.

There is a repair service for about $50-$65 where they repair yours if you send it in. Or you can still buy a new OEM buckle end (which contains the pre-tensioner...) online for about $150 .

This is great information, thanks Hamfisted. She is using the truck daily, so sending the belt out isn't really an option, but if I can find one at the junkyard at a reasonable cost, I can try it and if it has also failed, send one out.
