The vacuum line is near the master cylinder. It has a clip attached to it which I just clipped to the brake line so I can locate it easier next time. This line goes underneath the vehicle but not sure where at this point since I'm working on other things right now and didn't have the time to figure it out. Thought I would snap a few pics and see if anyone had any idea where this should attach to?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure that is the vent for the 4WD system and doesn't go to anything.

Your post didn't make sense You state " I'm working on other things right now and didn't have the time to figure it out. Thought I would snap a few pics"

Yet you had time to take pics and post a thread on the forum asking for someone to tell you what the hose is for. Maybe you should have just traced the hose out and then you would know what its for

I think that one attaches to the DPFE sensor.

THE trouble with YOUR thinking is that your wrong. If you don't know the answer then you should not give false information This only results in sending the OP on a wild goose chase.

1st the picture of the hose the OP posted doesn't look anything like the hoses use for the DPFE Sensor

2nd The OP stated the hose was near the Master Cylinder and that should also let you know it has nothing to do with the DPFE Sensor

It's the vent line for your front axle. Don't seal it. Just secure it up near the master cylinder so moisture doesn't get into it.

yeah, I just bought this vehicle and I'm working all my free time checking out other problems or solutions to other issues. I took these pictures on my phone days ago and thought I would just post them in my down time to get pointed in the general direction when the time comes to approach it.

My point was that you posted you were to busy doing other things yet you had time to post to the forum

The amount of time it took you to post something you could have spent tracing that vent line and maybe learned a few things along the way

And yes I have been called worse than 'grumpy bastard' and I also call them as I see them

I could have very well given you the answer you wanted, HAD you take the time to at least trace that line out BUT as you said you were to busy doing other thing. Yet not to busy to take pictures and post to the forum asking others to do what you were to busy to do.

Bedrck,

You said to another poster "If you don't know the answer then you should not give false information". Thanks for that as I don't want to be sent on goose chases but may I also add that if you don't want to answer or be helpful then don't post anything at all - it also leads to goose chasing of another kind: bickering.

In the name of brotherly love I retract my grumpy bastard comment. :)

Again my point

I will and do enjoy helping others on this forum especially when they ask questions and express that they failed to located a item or part or taken time to put some effort into helping themselves In you case you simply implied that you were to busy with other things to figure it out and again You couldn't have been too busy to figure it out if you could take the time to take pictures and post on the forum. You proved to me that you had no interest to try and figure it out as it was too easy to ask someone else to do what you should have done

As far as retracting your statement Too late for that as its been posted Calling me a name doesn't bother me as I already know I am a grumpy ole fart but what would have meant more rather that a retraction would have been an apology.

It make me wonder why someone would post That they don't have time to figure something out but they expect others to have the time to figure it out for them.

And as far as brotherly love I was born in the City of Brotherly Love and have learned from living there to hate everyone equally.

You are correct But had I not made a post to his false information you would have been on that goose chase and he would have never known that he posted false info. And that isn't bickering.

Alright, alright enough already! You obviously misunderstood what I meant about having time (at that particular moment) and never meant for anyone to try to 'figure it out' for me. The title of this thread is 'Does anyone KNOW where this vacuum line goes' - if you know what it is then respond.. if not then don't. I never asked you to look up anything or figure anything out for me.

I think people understood what I meant as you were the only one who took offense.

Kind of hard to misunderstand what it means when someone says " didn't have the time to figure it out" and then asks where it goes?

And then you now add (at that particular moment)

Right, I added 'at that particular moment' to help you understand that the word "didn't" is past tense not present or future tense. Got it?

Thanks for wasting everyone's time here. I'm done.

That's more than most do and then they make comments and have no idea what the OP posted

Or they read the posts but somehow they don't understand what was posted and come up with something different
