I can't figure out why the wheel well guard has this hole in it?? anyone know why? All it does is allow dirt and water to fling off your tires and deposit itself on the backside of the bumper and I would have to say facilitate rust and corrosion.

Looking to close it off to prevent issues.

They all do, if ford put it there, it was probably for a reason

does seem odd

air flow to help cool engine at highway speed?

it's almost all plastic on other side anyway
